Personal Reflection
“Special Topic IT management & IT security Awareness Seminar”
During the first class we discuss about the personality of each student in the class using a personality test sheet, the outcome was quite surprising because I can relate to most of the feature describe in my type of personality. I think the lesson was interesting because by discovering our strength and weakness we can better equip ourselves to face obstacles in life. Other then the personality test exposure was also given to the importance of “networking” creating a network of people that can be a source of idea and advice. The International Association of Software Architects (IASA) is an example of community of practice that set up to help aspiring IT architects.
As a class project it is required that we held on the 5th annual UTM MSc IT discourse, the title for the seminar is “IT Security Awareness” the seminar was held on the 1st of March at the Dewan Seminar D07. Three speakers was invited, Director of ICT, UTM Skudai, – Prof. Zamri b. Mohamed, Mr Kannan Velayuthaam (Security Consultant –Antivirus/Firewall) and Mr Meor Ahmad Fauzi b. Meor Zainal Abidin (Redhat Advance Business Partner). Overall the seminar was a success in every aspect management, event handling and participant. The only let down was the organizing committee has very limited resources to work with, but we are blessed to have the support of the office staff, CICT staff and our supervisor PM Wardah.
